Welcome to St Thomas'! We are a small, but growing, church in the heart of the Groves area of York. We are committed to reaching out into our local community – serving people who are in need, and above all showing God’s love as best we can. We want to celebrate what God is doing in this wonderful part of His world.

We meet together each Sunday at 10.30am, and we hope that you will find our gatherings welcoming, family-friendly, and full of God’s presence.

If you live in this part of York, you can be assured that we are praying that God will richly bless you and that you will know his love and goodness in your life.

St Thomas News - 10th May 2019

Dear all,

Tomorrow morning, 10-12, is the Christian Aid breakfast (or should that be brunch?) - come along to eat, chat and give!

On Tuesday, we have two opportunities to hear from Jean-Claude and Israel, our friends from Burundi. They will be at Natter (2.30pm) and then in church at 7.30pm.

On Wednesday, we are hosting a Quiz Night in aid of Restore in the church at 7.30pm. Please come along to have fun, find out more about Restore, and win astonishing prizes!

Looking ahead, Thy Kingdom Come takes place from Ascension (May 30th) to Pentecost (Jun 9th).

There will be some resources available to encourage daily prayer through the period, as well as a prayer event on Friday 31st May at Central Methodist and a 'bring a friend' celebration on Sun 9th at the Minster. Earlier on Sunday 9th (12-3pm) we will be having an event on the school field - short service, bbq, music, games, etc. Please let me know if you can help in any way.

There are lots of flyers to give out for this event and also the Luke's Larder we'll be hosting on Wednesdays at 10am in June, July and Aug - this is pay as you feel supply of surplus food from supermarkets. Please let me know if you would like to help with this.

Thanks for reading. Hope to see you soon,

Al
