St Thomas News - 5th September 2019
As we move into September, many of the usual groups are up and running again. Babes and Tots starts tomorrow (Friday 6th) at 9.30am.
On Saturday at 11am in the Minster Jose Linnane whom we so enjoyed having with us on placement is being licensed as a Reader. All are welcome.
Looking ahead, the week beginning September 16th is York St John Freshers' Week, so please pray for many students arriving in our parish. Louise will be organizing prayer meetings each day that week (details to follow) and even some Club Mission on the Friday night for those so inclined!
We would love to have a lunch together after church on Sunday 22nd - please let me know if you could contribute a hot dish towards that.
Several of us have felt it important to have more regular times to gather in worship and prayer, simply seeking God together. We hope to do this on Oct 6th and Nov 3rd in the evenings. There is also a worship evening at St Cuthbert's House of Prayer on Friday 13th September from 7pm - all welcome.
The first Men's Breakfast of the new term will be Saturday 14th September, 8.30am.
Hope to see you soon
