Welcome to St Thomas'! We are a small, but growing, church in the heart of the Groves area of York. We are committed to reaching out into our local community – serving people who are in need, and above all showing God’s love as best we can. We want to celebrate what God is doing in this wonderful part of His world.

Although we normally meet together each Sunday at 10.30am, and we hope that people find our gatherings welcoming, family-friendly, and full of God’s presence, because of the coronavirus pandemic we are not able to meet in person but instead are moving online and making other provisions for pastoral support.

If you live in this part of York, you can be assured that we are praying that God will richly bless you and that you will know his love and goodness in your life.

St Thomas News - 28th November 2019

Dear Church,

A last minute advert for a community meal being held tomorrow (Friday 29th November 5 - 7 pm) at Door 84 - all are welcome, and this is run by the same people who are leading our (fully booked) wreath-making on Saturday. Please see attached info.

Also attached is the information about our other Christmas events. Please do have a look. Please note that there is NO MORNING SERVICE on December 8th. I will be in church to pray for our events from 10.15 till 11am, so do join me if you'd like to.

On December 8th, we have our Carol Service (followed by mulled wine and mince pies) at 7pm. Please invite friends and family!
Earlier in the day, from 12-3pm, the gospel choir and others are involved at the Door 84 Christmas Party - do come and support if you can.

On Sunday, I'll be bringing the rest of the Christmas cards in bundles for the streets we've not yet delivered to. If you can take a street to deliver, that would be great - we'd love to get them out right across the parish before the carol service.

Hope to see you soon. Happy nearly Advent!
