St Thomas News - 25th November 2020

Dear Church,

Last Thursday we enjoyed an evening of prayer, out of which came some encouraging verses and thoughts. I've attached a document with them, and I thought the themes were mainly about finding security and refuge in closeness to God, and about taking his love and goodness out to others in the community. Please do get in touch if you have anything else to share.

On Sunday at 10.30am, join us once again online for our livestream service - the first Sunday of Advent! I'll be looking at Ezra 9, as we come towards the end of the Book. Follow on FacebookYoutube or Zoom (631 970 6882) as usual.

St Thomas News - 18th November 2020

Dear Church,

Please join in our prayer meeting tomorrow evening if you are able. 7.30pm on Zoom (ID 631 970 6882). We'll be thinking and praying together about God's priorities for our church into next year. As the body of Christ, let's be listening out for his voice together.
If you are able to fast during the day, this can be helpful in developing our hunger for God. And please do send me any thoughts and words you have if you can't be with us in the evening.
The church building is open for prayer tomorrow 12-1.30pm, so feel welcome to come if you'd like to.
Christmas:
Jo shared with us on Sunday about the ways we hope we can still shine light into our community this Christmas, even with restrictions in place. Among other things, we hope to create a Christmas trail in the building to invite people into. Here are some ways you can help us make an impact this year:

Dear Church,

This Sunday we have a special service where we'll be hearing some stories of what God has been doing among us over these past months. (There is also plenty of information in the Annual Report posted here.) This will be followed by the AGM on Zoom. I'd encourage you to join for the whole morning on Zoom if you can (remembering to mute your mic!) as you may feel you'd like to share something or pray during the service. The service, as usual, will be streamed on Facebook  and YouTube - the annual meeting will only be available on Zoom (ID 631 970 6882)

St Thomas News - 30th October 2020

Dear Church,

Join us online on Sunday at 10.30 as we continue to look at the Book of Ezra (this week chapter 3), thinking about how we prepare to 'return and rebuild' over the coming months. Join in on Zoom (ID 631 970  6882), Facebook  and YouTube
I have recorded a new Verse of the Week video which connects a little with this Sunday's passage, based on Romans 12.1-2.

There is no 4pm service on Sunday, but starting

St Thomas News - 18th October 2020

Dear Church,

This Sunday we are experimenting with an All Age service online! For those families who are receiving 'church in a bag', the livestream service will be part of the activities for this week - we'll be looking at the book of Ruth. A few things about the service:
- If you don't get 'church in a bag', you may want to have a leaf to hand for the prayer activity which Charlotte will be leading.
- We hope to have actions from Joel and Lois, so we won't have words on screen. The three action songs will be: All Through History; Because of God's Great Love; and I Give Thanks.
