St Thomas News 26th May 2021

Hello, church family!

As usual, our service on Sunday at 10.30am will be live-streamed on Facebook or YouTube or you can join the Zoom call (631 970 6882).
You are also invited to come to the church building - please book in if you plan to come as spaces are currently limited (you don't need to book in for others who are not online as we've allowed for that, but if you are reading this email, please click through and use the booking system rather than just telling me you're coming).

Before that, we have our communion service and cafe tomorrow (Thursday) - service at 12.30pm, followed by cafe in groups of six in the church building.

On Tuesday, we had our first session going through the letter to the Colossians in church at 12.30. If you'd like to watch it's now here. This will be each Tuesday at 12.30pm until July 20th.

At our AGM on Sunday evening, we confirmed the election of our two church wardens - Jo Bloss is continuing, and will now be joined by Rob Hazell, which is great news. Mike Minihan has now stepped down having served for several years, and we're very grateful to him for all he's given to the role.

A reminder, too, of the new video from Claire Smith, updating us on the consultation that's taken place with the congregation about the future development of our building.

After a couple of weeks at St Wulstan's, I'll be back at St Thomas' this Sunday, and look forward to seeing many of you there.

Keep praying! "The promise [of the Holy Spirit] is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, for all whom the Lord our God will call" (Acts 2.39).
