St Thomas News 2nd June 2021

Hello Church,

I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine!

A reminder that it's really helpful if you can now book in via Eventbrite for this coming Sunday's service if you'd like to come in person. Just let me know if you have any difficulties (and a reminder that we are keeping seats free for those who are not online, so no need to book for them).
If you're watching from home, or from anywhere else in the world for that matter, you can join in as usual on Facebook or YouTube or you can join the Zoom call (631 970 6882).
This week we're delighted to have the Wilsons with us (Chris will be preaching) and we'll also be hearing from Dan Thomas who will soon be going on to his curacy.

A reminder that we have a new rhythm for Tuesdays and Thursdays until the end of July at least.
Tuesdays at 12.30pm (in church and livestreamed) I'll be preaching through Colossians (this week's talk is here)
Thursdays at 12.30pm (in church) we have a communion service, followed by a cafe inside church (or spilling out in good weather!) from 1-2pm.

All are welcome to join the Tuesday prayer meeting at 9am on Zoom (ID 631 970 6882).

We'll be having a family service at 4pm on Sunday 20th June and another on Sunday 11th July - this latter one at St Wulstan's.

And a request from Mary and Rob Rolls who many of you will remember - they have an Air B&B flat on Bootham Crescent and are looking for someone to service/clean the flat on variable dates depending on bookings. If you might be interested or know anyone who might be, let me know.

Finally, an encouragement again to be praying, as we said on Sunday, 'how can I serve?' as we continue on the road back towards opening up fully. " From Christ the whole body... grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work" (Ephesians 4.16)

Hope to see you soon,

Al
