St Thomas News 25th February 2021

Dear Church,

We are grateful to have heard the 'roadmap' on Monday, and are now beginning to think about how this will affect our activities at St Thomas'. As always, I am very pleased to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to be in touch.

Today, we had a small communion service in the church building at 12pm. This will happen again next Thursday - please get in touch if you would like to come to a service: we can always do more than one service if numbers are looking high.

This Sunday we'll continue with the themes of the Live Lent readings - we'll be thinking about the demon-possessed man in Mark 5 in the livestream service. Please join on Zoom (631 970 6882), Facebook or YouTube
If you haven't already done so, you can join in with Live Lent: you can sign up for emails or download an app. For a physical booklet, please let me know. There are also videos connected with Live Lent which you can find here.

Sunday: Bible Reflection over Zoom led by Marian and Phil. These will be along the lines of reading a passage slowly together, taking time quietly alone to reflect, and then an opportunity to share at the end. We had a good time last Sunday, and the next one will be on Sunday at 7pm on the usual church Zoom: 631 970 6882.

Monday: Building Project Open Meeting - for anyone who hasn't been able to get to a meeting like this with their small group, this is a chance to share your thoughts about the building project, Monday 1st March, 5.15-6.30pm. It will be on the usual Zoom ID 631 970 6882.

The return of the St Thomas LOCKDOWN QUIZ! Celebrating the return of children to school and indeed the day of international women, Eddy will be hosting another quiz on Monday 8th March. Please get in touch with Maya to find out more or register your team (or ask to join one).

As they shared with us on our Zoom a couple of weeks ago, Chris and Suzy Wilson have news about their future, which you can read about here. Louise has also shared some encouraging news from Belgium. If you would like to receive her emails, please contact her.

Sorry for the lack of Verse of the Week type videos from me! I am planning to share some thoughts about the gradual lifting of restrictions from Romans 14, so do keep an eye on our Facebook and YouTube pages if you're interested...

God bless,

Al
